HCT’s Chief executive confirmed at a local residents meeting last night that before they bought the stadium car park site they consulted with LBWF in 2009 and were advised that change of use to a bus depot would be supported.
They were not advised that the site laboured under an existing D2 leisure use as it had existed for the previous 80 years use as wholly ancillary in support of the stadium as its car park.
The public must be concerned that much of the HCT activity that is being proposed to the stadium car park site is coming from the Low Hall site where they have to move out. The landlord at Low Hall is … wait for it….one ‘ London borough of Waltham forest’. Is this site
up for development by the council? Is there a conflict of interest here? Have HCT been misled in similar manner to how L&Q were when they were encouraged to buy the main site by this council?
Why has the site specific allocation document which should link the car parks as ancillary to the track and protects the stadium been delayed for the last two years ?
What exactly is going on in Waltham Forest!?
