Save Our Stow is deeply concerned to hear the latest new that Labour Councillor Afzal Akram who is also the Labour whip has been suspended over allegations he tried to influence the outcome of a ‘planning votes’.
We are concerned that Councillor Afzal Akram could have been a major influence in how the Labour Councillors voted in favour of L&Q developing Walthamstow Stadium, despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
Save Our Stow feel this is further evidence that the Council’s decision to allow L&Q to destroy ‘The Stow’ is unsafe.
