The following text comes from last nights UCKG planning meeting.
Cllr Matt Davis (Conservative)
He says: “There does not seem to be much support of this scheme.”
“I was amazed to hear the claim (from the UCKG) that the spiritual needs of people in Waltham Forest are not being catered for.
“There are a vast number of places of worship in this borough.”
He also says the application is not being treated in the same way as the Walthamstow Stadium planning application by council officers.
He says: “Consistency in planning is not something I think will ever see.”
SOS would also like to congratulate the Save Walthamstow Cinema campaign for their battle in keeping another important part of Walthamstow’s heritage from being destroyed.
Well about time too that the council overturned a planning application that was not for the benefit of the borough. The same should have happened with the Stow!!
Lets hope Boris overturns it !!
