The Save Our Stow consortium met with architects to view their alternative plans for the stadium. The consortium were delighted with these initial plans which include, in addition to a working greyhound stadium, residential units, commercial units and the potential for additional leisure facilities and community units that could house youth clubs, a gym, a creche etc.
As reported on the TV news yesterday, a small demo took place outside the Council offices at midday, keeping the campaign very much in the headlines.
The consortium will be presenting these plans to London & Quadrant, the current owners of the site, on 17 September 2008.

Keep up the good work. It would be a tragedy if Walthamstow was lost as a greyhound track. I am looking forward to booking a table at one of the restaurants as soon as it opens again.
